Scout Days

On the 1st Wednesday of every month from 10am to 8pm, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Pathfinders, and Adventurers who are wearing their vest, sash, or uniform can explore in the museum at a reduced rate of $5 per person. There is no charge for leaders, but additional parents and siblings are charged the museum admission rate of $9.50 for adults and $6.50 for children. Children under the age of two are free.

At 3:30pm, there will be a special science show, Science WOW!, at no additional cost for all museum guests.

Programs

Programs can be designed for your group to meet health or science badge, belt loop, pin, or honor award requirements. Programs range in cost from $5 to $10 per participant. For questions or to schedule a program, please contact Jen Stump at 828-665-2217 x327 or jennifer.stump@ahss.org.

Girl Scout Camp-Ins

Camp-Ins are $30 per Scout. There is no charge for leaders. To register your troop for a Camp-In, contact Jen Stump at 828-665-2217 x327 or email at jennifer.stump@ahss.org. *Older Girl Scouts, if you or your troop is interested in volunteering, please contact Jen Stump.

Junior Camp-In: Friday, February 17th at 7pm – Saturday, February 18th at 9am: Mystery Science
Scouts will sharpen their observation skills, solve a mini mystery, crack codes, make invisible ink, fingerprint themselves, and even extract DNA! Girls will earn the Detective badge in this fun hands-on night at the museum!

Brownie Camp-In: Friday, March 16th at 7pm – Saturday, March 17th at 9am: Science Spectacular
Scouts will experiment with food science, make their hair stand on end with our Van der Graff Generator, create a geyser with soda pop, and use chemistry to make a cool toy! Girls will earn the Home Scientist badge at this Camp-In.
