Time at The Health Adventure is Time on Task!

In addition to being the “Best Place to Learn Outside of School” (Mountain Xpress Readers Poll 2010), The Health Adventure also provides some of the best school group classes and workshops. All programs at The Health Adventure are referenced by the NC Essential Standards.

Rates:

Please schedule visits a minimum of two weeks in advance. Reference our chart on the “Programs & Classes” page to see which programs are offered for your specific grade level. Individual programs are listed in order by grade and include any related NC Standard Course of Study Competency Goals from the North Carolina Standard Course of Study as well as the NC Essential Standards.

Programs at The Health Adventure

Per student rates for in-house programs are as follows:

$5.50/$6.00* for 90-minute classes

There is a minimum charge of $60 per 90 minute scheduled program. Programs are scheduled by confirmed reservation after receipt of a $20.00 non-refundable deposit. Programs fill quickly, so schedule your visit early.

Note: All program visits to The Health Adventure include 30 additional minutes of museum exploration.

Classes are offered Monday through Friday at 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 12 Noon and 1:30 PM.

Lunches

At the Biltmore Square Mall location, students can bring bagged lunches from school or home. You may also wish to arrange lunches for your students with one of the food court vendors. More information on lunches through Chick-fil-A can be found here.

The Fine Print:

All programs at The Health Adventure are referenced by the NC Essential Standards and are taught by professional science and health educators. Please refer to our program listings before your class visits for activities specific to your class.

Funding from the NC General Assembly subsidized classes for NC students.

Family memberships are not applicable to school programs and/or rates.

Chaperones are required for school groups.

Teachers, drivers, and one-on-one aides are admitted free. Additional adults must pay student price for the programs.

Interested in visiting before you book?

Teachers may visit for free at any time during operating hours to preview exhibits or simply check out the museum. Just show your teacher ID at our front desk. Family members or friends who accompany teachers will need to purchase a ticket.
