Last Chance for Rainforest
ALIVE!
Teachers�of grades K-5 are invited to bring
students�on a tropical adventure they won't forget! Rainforest ALIVE!, a
popular exhibit developed by Catawba Science Center, is on display at The
Health Adventure through May 28 - only two more months!
Spaces
are booking fast, so call (828) 254-6373, Ext. 329 to learn more about this
unique program. Meets a variety of objectives in Competency Goal 1 of
the Science Curriculum. �

Science House Summer Workshops
Get access to free science and math equipment
for your classroom by attending The Science House 2006 Teacher Pioneer
workshop!�
Participants will learn to use the TI-83+ graphing
calculator and/or iBook laptops, LabPro interface and numerous probes.
During the school year this equipment will circulate among the teachers'
classrooms as they integrate the technology into their curriculum. The
computer-based MBL workshop will be held June 26-30 and the
calculator-based CBL workshop will be held July 31 to August 4.
Both workshops will be held in Asheville and are open to middle and high
school teachers in Buncombe, Macon, Haywood, Jackson, Henderson,
Transylvania, McDowell, Yancey� and Madison counties.
