Einstein Tells All: The
Scientific Method Explained
For
Grades 5-8
What is science, what is myth, and how to
tell the difference! "Albert Einstein," the most famous
scientist of the 20th century, challenges faux "science" of the
past and present. Students will move through the history of scientific
investigation and discern real scientific methods through activities and
student participation.
Meets science Competency Goal 1 from the
North Carolina Standard Course of Study

Adventure for its popular program: Food: Fuel for Life
How do
flaming marshmallows help us to learn science? And what is a calorie,
anyway? We will measure the heat produced by burning foods and answer
these questions for ourselves!� We will also conduct chemical and physical
tests to reveal starch, protein, fat, and sugar in the foods we
eat.
Science Curriculum
Competency
Goal 4 - The learner will conduct investigations and use appropriate
technology to build an understanding of how food provides energy and
materials for growth and repair of the body. Meets Objectives 4.02-
4.05.
