On November 9, 2009, The Health Adventure honored the hard work and dedication of some very special ‘staffers’ as it hosted its annual Volunteer Luncheon. With limited staff, The Health Adventure relies heavily on volunteers to perform a wide variety of tasks, making them truly essential to the museum’s success.
In the past year, our volunteers contributed 2,884 hours of service, which is equivalent to $56,273.28.
Nine awards were presented this year to volunteers who have been exceptional service to The Health Adventure in 2009:
Shirley Sharpe - Volunteer of the Year
Alex Diez - Fundraiser of the Year
Ted Durham - Shining Star
Jeeshan Faridi - Educator of the Year
Graham Patton - Youth Volunteer of the Year
Chris Johnson and Alex Suder - Youth Volunteers of the Year
Sam Stickney - Momentum Award
Dr. Mark & Lisa Knollman - Thanks-a-Million (TAM) Award
