Time at The Health Adventure is time on task! Programs at The Health Adventure are referenced by the Competancy Goals from the NC Standard Course of Study. In addition, each class is taught by professional health and science educators. Below are the details for scheduling your group. You can find information about the various programs offered and the appropriate age group for each program by downloading the comprehensive Teachers Guide [PDF]. To schedule a program for your school, class, or group, contact our Group Scheduler today at (800) 935-0204 or (828)257-4535.

: : How to schedule your visit : :

Please schedule your visit at least 2 weeks in advance as space is limited.

  1. Plan for a minimum visit time of 90 minutes.
  2. Refere to our Teachers Guide for which programs are most appropriate for your group.
  3. Choose several possible dates in case your firsst choices are not available.
  4. Classes are offered Tuesday through Friday at 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 12 noon, and 1:30 PM. Later afternoon programs are available by arrangement.
  5. Outreach programs at your school are available Monday through Friday.
  6. Call our school scheduler Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 12 noon or between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM at the number listed above.
  7. Reserve your lunch space.
  8. Read the fine print below.

The Fine Print:

  • Chaperones are required for all school groups. We prefer at least one chaperone for every 10 students. We will admit up to one chaperone for every 5 students free of charge! Alll additional adults will be expected to play student price for programs.
  • Pack Place is accessible to individuals with disabilities. When calling, please let the School Scheduler know if anyone in your group has special needs.
  • A confirmation form, guidelines, a museum map, and a parking map will be mailed to you prior to your visit.
  • Check for accuracy and sign and return one copy of the confirmation form with a non-refundable $10 deposit withiin 10 days to hold your reservation. The deposit will be applied to your program cost.
  • Cancellations fewer than 10 days prior to tthe scheduled program will be billed $50, or the cost of the visit, whichever is less. The only exception is school closings due to inclement weather. If Asheville City Schools close due to inclement weather conditions, classes beginning before noon will be canceled.
