The Health Adventure offers programs to Brownies and Juniors. Most programs help meet Girl Scout badge requirements. Please see you Badge and Try-Iy books for program content. For more information, please contact our Scheduler at (828) 257-4535.

The fee for classes is $4.25 per Girl Scout. The fee does not include patches, which may be purchased through the Pisgah Girl Scout Council

Brownies:

January 17, 2008 - Math Fun
Closing date is January 7, 2008

March 13, 2008 - Numbers and Shapes
Closing date is March 3, 2008

April 17, 2008 - Water Everywhere
Closing date is April 7, 2008

Juniors

March 6, 2008 - Communication
Closing date is February 25, 2008

April 3, 2008 - First Aid
Closing date is March 24, 2008

May 1, 2008 - Discovering Technology
Closing date is April 21

Programs available on request for Brownies:
Animals, My Body, Sounds of Music, Movers, Science in Action, Healthy Habits, and Me and My Shadow

Programs available on request for Juniors:
Puzzlers, Art in 3-D, Aerospace, Weather Watch, Making Music, Making it Matter, and Science Discovery


FEE: $4.25 per Girl Scout
PATCH: Activites meet badge requirements for Try-It or Badge listed, which can be purchased through the Pisgah Girl Scout Council (not included in fee).
TIME: 4:00 - 5:00 PM. Check-in begins at 3:30 PM.
LOCATION: The Health Adventure in Pack Square in downtown Asheville, NC.
REGISTRATION: You must pre-register for any program you wish to attend. To reserve space in any of our Girl Scouts programs:
  • Download and complete a registration form
  • Write a check for the full program amount ($4.25 per Girl Scout)
  • Mail registration form and payment to: The Health Adventure, ATTN: Scheduling, PO Box 180, Asheville, NC 28802
  • Registration must be received at least 10 days prior to the program date (see Closing Dates).

GUIDELINES:

  • All program registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is not confirmed until both registration form and full payment are received.
  • If a Troop cancels or changes its reservation after the closing date (sessions close 10 days prior to program date), payment will not be refunded.
  • If a programs minimum number (15 Scouts) has not been met by its closing date, the program will be cancelled, Troop Leadeers contacted, and payment refunded. Troop Leaders are encouraged to organize with other Troops to prevent cancellation due to insufficient registration.
  •  In case of inclement weather, The Health Adventure will call Troop Leaders if the program is cancelled. If ou do not hear from The Health Adventure, please assume that the program is going to run. Any programs cancelled due to weather will be rescheduled.
  • Fee does not include patch, which may be purchased via the Pisgah Girl Scout Council.
  • No "Tag-Alongs", please. Non-Girl Scouts will be charged the $4.25 program fee if they attend the program or if they explore the museum.
  • Any of the listed programs can be scheduled on request, if the minimum group size can be met.
