The Asheville satellite office serves
math and science teachers in Buncombe County and Asheville
City Schools as well as in surrounding areas. Our goal is
to create a community of teachers and schools who use technology
to improve the teaching of science and mathematics. The
office is housed at The
Health Adventure, a science museum in downtown Asheville.
With
generous funding from the Department of Education, K-12 science and math teachers will have access to training
and equipment including laptops, graphing calculators, and
a variety of probes. The use of such
equipment promotes inquiry exploration and helps students
see technology as a tool for learning. For more information on The Science House, what tools and equipmentare available, and to set-up a training, visit The School House website or contact The Science House
