Imagination awaits children under the age of six at this colorful, enclosed exhibit area. A climbing structure, costumes, books, puppets and a wealth of toys await the young guests who claim this gallery as their own. Parents, grandparents, and caregivers often share the excitement as children achieve important developmental milestones. Bright windows and rocking chairs enrich this space and create a warm environment for all who make Creative PlaySpace part of their regular routine.dsc_0138.jpg

Every first Friday of the month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Creative PlaySpace hosts the popular Preschool Play Date series, which provides youngsters age three to six with a unique, safe venue for parents, grandparents and caregivers to socialize and bond.

Free for members or with museum admission, the series features hands-on take-away activities led by an expert educator from The Health Adventure. No registration is required.

“We love our role as a center of community engagement,” said President & CEO Paige Johnson. “Our Preschool Play Date series provides a safe place and engaging activities that encourage and stimulate development – all while having fun. Motor skills, language development, physical activity, social skills and creativity are all encouraged in these sessions.”
