Field Trips are Amazing at The Health Adventure!

Ride a Hovercraft or Float Your Boat at Our Fall Exhibit!

Students in Grades K-5 will have a blast at our fall exhibit, From Here to There, as they lift, launch and levitate to experiment with gravity, friction, and the laws of motion!

Beginning October 5, students will be able to:

- Ride a hovercraft to experience how air pressure works
- Launch rockets to explore propulsion
- Float a sailboat to experiment with the effects of wind
- Launch a hot air balloon and more!

Students will spend 30 minutes in the exhibit and 30 minutes in a program that enriches the concepts learned.

Kindergarten: Social Studies Goal 7: 7.02

Grade One: Science Goal 4: 4.01-4.04; Social Studies Goal 7: 7.02

Grade Two: Social Studies Goal 6: 6.03, Goal 8: 8.01, 8.02

Grade Four: Science Goal 3: 3.01; Social Studies Goal 7: 7.03

Grade Five: Science Goal 4: 4.01-4.07

As summer cools down our school scheduler is still hopping with reservations for classes during the 2007-2008 school year. Our new Teacher's Guide has been delivered, and we encourage you to book your class today before spaces fill up!

Our feature traveling exhibits this school year promise to be a hit with students, as they explore the science of transportation, communication, and toys! What student wouldn't love to test a hovercraft or find out what makes his or her favorite toys work - all while learning valuable curricula that meets NC Standard Course of Study Objectives!?!
