"Little Builders" Gets Creative with
Construction!
Hammers will be swinging outside and inside
Pack Place as "Little Builders," The Health Adventure's new traveling
exhibit, opens on January 19.
As construction moves into Pack Square this month for our beautiful
new city park, The Health Adventure is pleased that our new exhibit will
explore the science behind construction, said President & CEO Paige
Johnson.
We didnt plan on the timing, but we are excited that families can
visit us to learn about construction in a safe environment as the park
project becomes highly visible, Johnson said.
Donning little hard hats and construction vests, children ages 2
through 7 will create, play and learn as they explore the concepts of
construction, motion and simple machines. The exhibit will be on display
through May 6.
Throughout Little Builders, the open-ended nature of the materials
and activities allows creativity to flourish, said Johnson. Children are
encouraged to use the exhibit in their own ways, and thus, learning becomes
personalized. Little Builders is also a learning laboratory for parents,
teachers and other care providers.
Little Builders is sponsored by Dr. & Mrs. George Bilbrey Jr., Pepsi,
First Citizens Bank, and Spake Real Estate. The exhibit was created and is
toured by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, Portland, Oregon.
