Give your child a birthday adventure! From special themed programs with science demonstrations and activities to parties with your own special touches, birthday parties at The Health Adventure are as fun and original as your child!

Give your birthday child the gift of adventure!  All birthday parties at The Health Adventure include:

We can also take the work out of your next themed birthday party!   Themed parties at The Health Adventure include everything that comes with our basic Adventurer Birthday Party plus themed decorations and activities.  The Health Adventure currently offers six (6) themed parties:

Art Party

Get creative at our Art Party!  Transform your party room into a creative wonderland as you paint, sculpt, draw, and embrace your inner artist.  We’ll make our own play dough, artwork, and more!

Blast Off!

Prepare your engines for an out-of-this-world birthday party!  Use everyday items to build a functioning rocket.  Challenge your friends to see who can shoot the highest!

Pirate’s Paradise

Beware…there be pirates about!  Join our crew and learn about the science of being a pirate!  Build your own pirate ship and challenge your friends to see whose ship can carry the most treasure!

Fairy Tale Ball

Everyone is royalty at The Health Adventure!  Celebrate your own prince or princess at our Fairy Tale Ball.  We’ll play with mysterious dry ice bubbles and make a magical take-home craft!

Construction Junction

Celebrate your little builder with our construction party!  We’ll learn which shapes are the strongest and then build a tower.  Will your tower be strong enough to survive our weight test?

Tea Party

It’s time for tea!  Put on your fancy party clothes and join us for a tea party.  We’ll make a miniature tea cup, and (of course!) drink a cup of special birthday tea!

Party Times and Prices

Parties are available on Saturdays from 11:00 AM-12:30 PM and from 3:00-4:30 PM and on Sundays from 3:00-4:30 PM.  Interested in a weekday party?  No problem!  Just give us a call for information on available days and times!

All party prices are based on the number of children, and we offer options for up to 10 children (with 20 accompanying adults) and up to 20 children (with up to 30 accompanying adults).

10-Child Adventurer Birthday Party: $150 (members)/$175 (non-members)
20-Child Adventurer Birthday Party: $175 (members)/$200 (non-members)

10-Child Themed Party: $200 (members)/$225 (non-members)
20-Child Themed Party: $225 (members)/$250 (non-members)

Want to throw a “double party” (i.e., more than one child)? No problem!  Parties for more than one child are an additional $50.

Thanks to our partners in the Biltmore Square Mall, we now offer a variety of food and beverage options for your party!  From pizza to liquid nitrogen ice cream to burgers, we can take the hassle out of your party’s food service needs.  To add food service to your birthday party, just give us a call at (828) 665-2217 x324!

Ready to book your child’s party?  Give us a call at (828) 665-2217 ext. 324 for information on scheduling, our current interactive program options, and rates. Birthday parties book quickly, so we recommend booking all parties at least three weeks in advance!

The Not-So-Fine Print:

We require one adult for every 5 children. You are responsible for your guests from the time they enter the museum until they leave.  Party prices include a maximum of 20 children and 30 adults.  Parties with up to 12 children must pay the 10-child party rate plus museum admission of $6.50 for each additional child.  Parties with 13-20 children must pay the 20-child party rate.  Additional guests (more than 20 children or more than 30 adults) must pay regular museum admission ($6.50 for children, $9.50 for adults).

Parties include 90 minutes in the private party room and unlimited access to the museum for the day.  In order to allow our staff to clean the room and prepare for our next party, we ask that party guests vacate the room at the scheduled time.  Late departures will be subject to an additional fee of $25/half-hour.

We require full payment in advance. If cancelled more than seven (7) days in advance, then a 50% refund will be given.  If cancelled seven (7) days or less, then no refund will be given.  If the child is sick the day of the party, then a 50% credit will be given that may be used towards rescheduling a party.  Any balance due (such as a party size increase or food order) that is not paid in full by the party’s departure date will be subject to a $5/day late fee.

Birthday parties include invitations ready for your personalized party details.  Parties for up to 10 children include 10 invitations.  Parties for up to 20 children include 20 invitations.  Additional packs of 10 invitations are available for $5.

Any changes to party reservations (such as food orders, increasing party size, adding balloons, etc.) require a 48-hour notice to ensure our ability to meet your needs.  Due to staffing and materials logistics, theme changes and Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream require at least a seven (7) day notice.

In the event of inclement weather, please call The Health Adventure at 828.665.2217 for updated information on any museum closure that may impact your party.

Birthday families are welcome to bring their own decorations and supplies.  The Health Adventure is not responsible for setting up, storing, or tearing down guest-provided party items (including food).  Guest-provided decorations may not be attached to the walls or suspended from the ceiling unless prior arrangements are made with museum staff at least one (1) week prior to the party date.  Any hanging decorations must be set up by The Health Adventure’s staff and will result in an additional setup fee of $100.

All guest-provided decorations must be cleared from the party room 15 minutes after the designated party end time.

Depending on availability, we may be able to provide setup access to the party room the night before the party for a flat rate of $25/hour. 

Unless otherwise noted, all party decorations, table displays, costumes, unused paper products, and unclaimed goody bags are the property of The Health Adventure.
